Veteran Job Developer

We are seeking US Military Veterans, National Guardsmen, Reservists, and Military Spouses for the position of Job Developer . Use your skills to develop current accounts, locate new business, and secure job openings for Veterans across the USA.

New Business Development

  • Initiate and maintain ongoing personal contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives for job placement to promote programs for VSN employee placement
  • Implement temporary and direct hire staffing strategies; develop a prospective client list for employers who may utilize staffing services to hire veterans
  • Contact and meet prospective employers to develop relationships and offer staffing solutions
  • Work with employers in the local community to identify employment opportunities
  • Make cold calls to potential employers, explaining the benefits and employment support services provided by VSN program and its ability to address employers’ special needs
  • Maintain job orders and business profiles; negotiate bill rates, direct hire fees and staffing terms
  • Maintain tracking of all employer and employee contact in the Applicant Tracking System

Account Management

  • Monitor accounts, ensure employee timesheets and invoicing are completed in current billing cycle
  • Arrange and conduct in-person meetings with key managers to senior-level executives of existing clients for the purpose of promoting VSN and fostering the relationship
  • Collect data from employers related to job orders including job requirements and skills; work with recruitment team to match job skills with applicant qualifications
  • Source, recruit, submit, and fill job orders with qualified candidates as needed
  • Refer qualified VSN applicants to employers for employment opportunities; conduct necessary follow-up and management when applicants are placed in positions
  • Set and achieve weekly goals that measure new client job orders generated


  • US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, or Military Spouse
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales and business development
  • 3+ years’ experience in project, account and contract management
  • 3+ years’ experience with recruitment and staffing
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities, duties and/or projects
  • Solid business management and problem-solving skills; highly developed presentation and communications skills, listening talent, closing ability, organization, time and territory management
  • Strong follow-up skills, motivation to break into new accounts through continuous effort
  • PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel)
