Seeking a US Military Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist and/or Military Spouse to work as a Leave of Absence Administrator. Use your administrative skills to manage the leave of absence process for employees in the U.S. and Canada. Position requires a Bachelors and 2 years of relevant experience.
 
Responsibilities: Veteran Military
  • Provides guidance and direction on leaves of absence to employees, managers, and HR Business Partners
  • Maintains Leave of Absence tracking spreadsheet and initiates communications to employees and managers regarding leave status
  • Works closely with outsourced absence administrator in the U.S. (Prudential) on disability and absence claims; provides information to vendor as needed
  • Prepares spreadsheet for Payroll that details all pay due for employees on leave
  • Performs some data entry into Oracle HRIS
  • Acts as a back-up to the Benefits Administrator on various tasks including invoice management, benefits system management, and replying to employee questions
  • Presents to new hires during weekly orientation, as needed
  • Supports HR Operations department by completing various data entry and auditing projects, as needed 
 
Requirements: Veteran Military
  • US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist or Military Spouse.
  • Bachelors and 2 years relevant professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state leave and disability laws (particularly MA and CA) and ability to coordinate various leave types
  • Experience with Microsoft tools including Excel and Word
  • HRIS or databases, preferably Oracle and leave of absence experience
  •  Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and follow up skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
  • Anticipates needs and issues of clients/employees and works proactively to address them
  • Highly dependable, motivated, creative, curious and innovative
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
