Job Developer
Silver Spring

Currently seeking US Military Veterans, National Guardsmen, Reservists, and Military Spouses for the position of Job Developer. Use your skills to develop current accounts, locate new business, and secure job openings for Veterans across the USA.

New Business Development
  • Initiate and maintain ongoing personal contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives to promote VSN 
  • Develop a prospective client lists of employers who may utilize staffing services to hire veterans
  • Contact and meet prospective employers to develop relationships and offer staffing solutions
  • Conduct outreach; attend networking and other types of events; Talk to employers to identify employment opportunities
  • Make cold calls to potential employers
  • Explain the benefits of hiring veterans and military spouses
  • Explain the unique value of VSN and the employment support services provided by VSN
  • Explain the options and benefits of temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire staffing strategies
  • Negotiate bill rates, direct hire fees and staffing terms
  • Keep contact information and notes on all contacts in CRM database
Account Management
  • Monitor accounts, ensure employee timesheets and invoicing are completed in current billing cycle
  • Arrange and conduct in-person meetings with key managers to senior-level executives of existing clients for the purpose of promoting VSN and fostering the relationship
  • Collect data from employers related to job orders including job requirements and skills; work with recruitment team to match job skills with applicant qualifications
  • Source, recruit, submit, and fill job orders with qualified candidates as needed
  • Refer qualified VSN applicants to employers for employment opportunities; conduct necessary follow-up and management when applicants are placed in positions
  • Set and achieve weekly goals that measure new client job orders generated
Requirements: Veteran Military
  • US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist or Military Spouse
  • Bachelor’s in Business or related field experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ years in sales, outreach and business development
  • Experience with the staffing industry is a plus 
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities, duties and/or projects
  • Solid business management and problem-solving skills; highly developed presentation and communications skills, listening talent, closing ability, organization skills, time and territory management
  • Strong follow-up skills, motivation to break into new accounts through continuous effort
  • PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel)
